H. Gonca Bulur received her bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Çankaya University and her master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from METU. She specializes in the field of telecommunications, fiber optic communications, ground penetrating radars and signal processing. Following her education in engineering, Gonca decided pursue graduate studies in social sciences and obtained her MBA degree from METU as well. In her master’s thesis, she studied multi-criteria decision making, decision analysis and the psychology of decision making. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Cognitive Sciences at METU Informatics Institute. Her research is at the intersection of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Business Administration and Cognitive Sciences. She studies the behavioral side of decision making, the underlying psychological and cognitive mechanisms and tests these through experiments with different methods and artificial intelligence.
