Gülşah Karakaya is an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration (BA). She received her BS, MS, and PhD degrees from the Department of Industrial Engineering at METU. She worked as a research/teaching assistant in the same department during her graduate studies. Before joining METU BA, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. Her research interests include quantitative decision methods, multiple criteria decision-making, evolutionary algorithms, combinatorial auctions, and feature selection. She is a member of INFORMS, International Society on MCDM, and Operational Research Society of Turkey. She is the recipient of the 2017 METU Young Researcher Award and the 2025 Science Academy Young Scientist Awards Program (BAGEP).
