Deniz Çavdar is an MBA student and a research assistant at the Department of Business Administration. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Economics at METU in 2017. Her graduation thesis was about the effects of oil price shocks on stock market returns. In Fall 2019, she was one of the instructors for the freshman-year required course Business Practice Workshop where students are taught about preparing effective presentations, time management for assignments, and teamwork. She was also the teaching assistant for the sophomore-year required course Microeconomics for Business where she held weekly recitation hours. In Spring 2020, Deniz was the teaching assistant for the undergraduate and graduate sections of the Negotiation Process course and in Fall 2020 she assisted the sophomore-level required course Principles of Marketing and the senior-level elective course Marketing Strategy. She is skilled in Guitar Playing, Microsoft Office, Gretl, EViews, and SPSS. Currently, her research interests are Digital Marketing and Advertising, Social Media, Consumer Behavior, Online Word of Mouth Marketing, Digital Content Consumption, and Consumer Neuroscience.
