Department of Business Administration is seeking colleagues at the Assistant Professor level (rank is negotiable contingent on experience and research evidence) for Fall, 2015, in the areas of Accounting, Marketing,Human Resources Management, Entrepreneurship, Management Science, Strategy, Organizational Issues and International Business.
The Department wishes to attract a candidate who has an earned doctorate in the aforementioned fields or from a relevant discipline. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in original, high caliber research in the designated fields and demonstrate recent publications in refereed scholarly journals which are indexed in SSCI. Aligned with the Department’s commitment to excellence in business education and teaching for years, a proven record of teaching excellence is required. The typical full teaching load is 6 credit hours per semester. Extra payment in addition to a base salary is possible, if there is an interest in teaching at EMBA and SUNY programs. Money awards for publications in high quality journals are given to faculty. Participation in at least two international conferences per year are supported and the university provides other research grants. Performance assessment is based predominantly on research and teaching activities.
METU Department of Business Administration (www.ba.metu.edu.tr) has an undergraduate program in Business Administration, a joint undergraduate program with SUNY Binghamton, full-time MBA, an Executive MBA, and Ph.D. programs in Finance and Quantitative Decision Methods. Most of the faculty completed their doctorates from leading research universities in USA and Europe and is research active.
